Places to go with your Dog
There are few places in Dubai that welcome you as well as your four legged friend. We will help you with compiling a list of the destinations however - this is what we need from you to do first:
· Respect your environment. Not everybody is a dog lover and we all need to be aware of that!
· ALWAYS carry a small plastic bag and scoop after your dog. Buy thin plastic 'grocery on the corner' kind of plastic bags and tie them to your dog's leash. Definitely not tres chic but very useful. And ALWAYS clean after your dog!!!!! (And don't forget to tell all people who may walk your dog too.)
· Keep your dog on leash in public. (Especially in places such as bars and restaurants that may be names on this site).
· If you decide to venture with your dog to the great' Dubai public life' please make sure your dog does know the basic commands such as sit, stay and quiet. (And if he doesn't - please see our calendar of events for obedience training classes! :-)

BARS & RESTAURANTS
IRISH VILLAGE: Dubai institution that has always been very welcoming to to dogs-your pooch will be even offered with a bowl of fresh water. Make sure your dog is leashed and be aware of the duck in the nearby pond (spaniels and sighthounds - be alert!)
LIME TREE, JUMEIRAH ROAD: The cafe usually welcomes all good mannered dogs and dog owners.
PERK CAFE, UM SUQIEM: Good news! We have spotted a Poodle in the garden!
PLACES TO WALK YOUR DOG
NAD AL SHIBA: The area behind the camel market (the old camel track location) is about to make way for the new and glossy Meydan horse destination. In the meantime, the area is great for long walks. Very safe-away from the main roads.
AL WARQA: Go straight on Mirdif traffic lights (from Nad Al Hammar towards Khawaneej) take right on the next roundabout (Warqa II). Go straight and on the 2nd roundabout take left. There is a large 'desert-ish' areas on your right. You can park both two and four wheels. Goods for long walks. 7min from Mirdif.
